Courier Systems is delighted to announce the achievement of a Freight Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) Silver award for its commitment to driver and vehicle health and safety.

Areas that have had specific focus are:

  • Driving at work and managing work related safety
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Fleet Management
  • Management of Health & Safety at work
  • Fleet insurance
  • Driver health & fitness and safe working hours

Joint-Managing Director Carl Truscott commented: "The Health and Safety of our couriers, staff and the public is always our first concern. We've received a number of awards over the last 20 years, but the accreditation of FORS Silver status is a great achievement."

In notification of the award, Dan Evanson from FORS stated that: "As well as reflecting the pivotal role you've played in the development of FORS, your progression to silver membership is apt reward for the commitment you've shown towards improving your operation and becoming safer, more efficient and more environmentally friendly"
